USC/AC State Track and Golf Participants Brant Blosser and Jayden Barnick have qualified for the State Track and Field Meet at St. Michael-Albertville High School on June 10-11. Rebel Country, Your USC Rebel Softball team is headed to the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP! The 2025 Class A State Championship game will be played at Jane Sage Cowles Stadium on the campus of the University of Minnesota on Friday, June 6th (tomorrow). First pitch is scheduled for 6:30pm. Seating is limited at the venue as there are only 500 general admission tickets available for the 4 teams competing in Session 2. General admission tickets go on sale to the public at 1:00pm sharp today (6/5), so if you're wanting to attend, please be ready to go online and do so right at 1. State Softball Tournament Updates (5:15pm, 6/3): Quarterfinal, Semifinal and Consolation Semifinal games will be played on Wednesday, June 4th at Caswell. All participating teams will play two games on Wednesday. USC will play Blackduck on Field 1 at 1:30pm. Win or lose, a second game will be played at 9:00pm. Brackets, an updated schedule, and additional information can be found at: www.mshsl.org/girlssoftball Tickets: All spectators must purchase new tickets for Wednesday's games. Ticket prices are $21 for adults, $14 for students. Tickets provide in and out privileges. Spectators should request a wristband if leaving the venue. Tickets can be purchased at: www.mshsl.org/tickets Any tickets previously purchased for a Tuesday or Wednesday game will be cancelled with full refunds issued. Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to be credited back to your account. Thursday's games at Caswell and Friday's games at the U will be played on the original schedule and require separate tickets. The overflow grass field lot is no longer available. Caswell Park staff are providing shuttle services for spectators from the North Parking Lot. A map is available at: www.mshsl.org/girlssoftball under 'Tournament Resources'. Blosser and Barnick are Statebound! In last Saturday's Section Meet, Brant Blosser qualified for State after striking gold and setting a section record in the 110m High Hurdles! Jayden Barnick qualified after his runner-up performance in the high jump competition. Both boys compete in the prelims on Tuesday, June 10, hoping for an opportunity at Finals on Wednesday. State Golf Alert! Yesterday afternoon, Senior Emma Heggen and Junior Brennan Olson qualified for the Minnesota Class A State Golf Tournament! Emma made the big dance by finishing 4th in Section 2A, while Brennan stormed back to finish in 2nd after a tremendous back 9. Both will hit the links next Tuesday, June 10 at Pebble Creek in Becker. The 48th annual Lions Athletic Banquet is coming up in a week on Wednesday, May 28th @ 6:30pm! All 7-12 grade student-athletes will have a complimentary ticket at the door and will be recognized as part of the program. All other tickets can be purchased for $5.00 at the door. Athletics Weather Update (5/21): Due to the wet field conditions and rainy weather in Spring Grove, tonight's Section 1A Playoff matchup against the Lions has been POSTPONED. Makeup TBD.

After the long 4 days of competition, and the drive to and from Kansas City, MO., the Speech Team is back from Nationals! They built friendships from across the country, and experienced a wide range of amazing speeches. There were approximately 1,708 competitors there from across the country. Josh Brooks competed in Dramatic Interp against 202 competitors Nationwide, and held his own in the top 75. Him and Loonan also performed in Duet Acting against 105 entries (210 competitors) and ranked in the top 70. Jaelyn and Danyelle competed in Duet Acting and ranked in the top 80. Danyelle stepped out of her comfort zone and competed in her 1st single entry category of Prose against 137 competitors, and placed in the top 30 of the country!! It was truly a unique experience! Next year's Nationals will be held at Shakopee High School, and we are already hoping to be there 😉.
