Happy Labor Day! Just a reminder: the first day of school for 7th–12th graders is Tuesday, September 2, and K–6th graders start Wednesday, September 3. We can’t wait to see all our students back in the building!

The last coat of sealant was applied Thursday, and the final step—painting—is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 18.
✅ Lots will be open this weekend.
🚗 On Monday, most of the lot will need to be cleared for painting, so expect minor disruptions in the morning.
Thank you for your flexibility—once this is done, our parking lot work will be complete!

Crews plan to put the final coat of sealant on our parking lots Wed. (Aug. 13) or Thu. (Aug. 14). This will need 24 hours to cure, so the lots will be closed during that time. Painting is scheduled for Fri. (Aug. 15), which also means no traffic in our tennis court, bus garage, and main lots that day.
✅ Parking will be available on 11th St. & 6th Ave.
Asphalt company schedules are always fluid and very weather-dependent, so we’ll share any updates or changes between now and Wednesday. Thank you for your patience and flexibility—we’re excited to have this project wrapped up soon!

Fall sports are here! 🏈🏐🏃♂️🎾 Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, Cheerleading, and Tennis are officially off and running with their first practices of the season. 🚧 Parking Lot & Traffic Flow Update 🚧
As part of our summer maintenance, we’re seal-coating and repairing our parking lots and service road. With this work, we’re also rethinking traffic flow to improve student safety.
One key change: the drive lane around our main lot will reverse direction. Morning bus drop-off will shift to the west side of the building, while afternoon pickup will stay in front of the school. No vehicles will use the bus lane closest to the building during drop-off or pickup.
We’ll also be adding designated student drop-off/pick-up parking spots near the building. These updates will take place over the next few weeks as repainting is completed.
