Students in our Early US History course participated in an experiential history lesson! They made "delicious" batches of hardtack, a key Civil War ration made of flour, water, and salt. Thank you to the USC Education Foundation for funding this engaging lesson.

Our juniors had the chance to read to our kindergarteners again this year, sharing children’s books they created based on LaRose by Louise Erdrich. They turned it into a repeated read-aloud experience—reading, answering questions, rereading, and checking for understanding. A great example of learning across grade levels!

Yesterday afternoon members of USC's FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) Chapter made the short trip to Parkview Care Center to decorate Christmas cookies with the residents!

USC FCCLA and Student Government members traveled to Chanhassen to participate in meal packing with Feed My Starving Children. All volunteers in our session packed a total of 159 boxes, which adds up to 34,344 meals for those in need. USC students filled 67 of those boxes, each with 216 servings of nutritious food. That means USC students packed 14,472 meals!
