USC Athletic Update (1/13/26):
There have been changes to a couple of tonight's athletic events.
Wrestling is now a triangular at Maple River vs. Waseca and LeSueur-Henderson. MR/USC will wrestle at 5:00pm and 7:30pm (approx.).
Girls Basketball at JWP will be 7th, 8th, and Varsity only. There will be no JV game. Varsity will tip off at 6:30pm.
All other events are on as originally scheduled.

Students in our Early US History course participated in an experiential history lesson! They made "delicious" batches of hardtack, a key Civil War ration made of flour, water, and salt. Thank you to the USC Education Foundation for funding this engaging lesson.

Our juniors had the chance to read to our kindergarteners again this year, sharing childrenβs books they created based on LaRose by Louise Erdrich. They turned it into a repeated read-aloud experienceβreading, answering questions, rereading, and checking for understanding. A great example of learning across grade levels!

Yesterday afternoon members of USC's FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) Chapter made the short trip to Parkview Care Center to decorate Christmas cookies with the residents!

USC FCCLA and Student Government members traveled to Chanhassen to participate in meal packing with Feed My Starving Children. All volunteers in our session packed a total of 159 boxes, which adds up to 34,344 meals for those in need. USC students filled 67 of those boxes, each with 216 servings of nutritious food. That means USC students packed 14,472 meals!

Students return on Monday, January 5th.

Weather Update: USC will start two hours late on Wednesday, December 10th due to high winds and freezing roads, with no breakfast or morning preschool, and we hope daylight will allow for safer travel into the building.
