United South Central Schools will be undergoing some important parking lot maintenance work this week. Crews will be on-site completing crack repair and patching throughout the school’s parking areas. While the lots will remain open and accessible during this time, drivers may occasionally be asked to move vehicles to allow space for work to continue.
In the near future, there will also be a 24–36 hour period where the main parking lot, service road, bus garage area, and tennis court lot will be closed for seal coating. Due to weather and contractor scheduling, the exact timing of this closure is still being determined. We will share the dates with families and staff as soon as they are finalized.
During the seal coating closure, we are working in partnership with the City of Wells to allow for temporary on-street parking on 11th Street and 6th Avenue.
We’re excited to complete this maintenance work to keep our parking lots in great shape for years to come. Following the completion of this project, please note that the traffic flow pattern in our main parking lot will also be updated prior to the start of the school year.
