High School Principal

Welcome to the 2020-21 School Year!

Principal Julie Stauber -- Personal Message I am excited to join the United South Central High School community and serve as the new High School Principal. I am moving from Northern Minnesota to Southern Minnesota not only to become a Rebel and find some better weather but also to move closer to my new grand baby. Now, living in Wells, I can spend some quality time on the occasional weekend with her and not have to spend most of the time on the road. Yay!!

I am a devoted wife to my husband Dan and mom to my daughter and soon-to-be son-in-law Nora and Scott, my son and daughter-in-law Owen and Mikeala, and my daughter Natalie. I’m also a dog mom to Hank and Otto, a golden retriever and a Yorkie.

My devotion to my family is only matched by my passion for learning. I enjoy learning from the educational experts like John Hattie and Brene’ Brown just as much as I enjoy learning from my colleagues. Technology allows us to learn in so many new and exciting ways!! I can visit Twitter on one day and bring something fresh and exciting into my classroom the next. I can collaborate with someone on the same document at the same time, but we live in different cities. I can walk into my neighbor’s classroom and learn something totally new and use it to plan for next year. It’s exciting to think about how our students will build and expand upon the technology we have today in their future.

While the start of the school year may present some unknowns, rest assured my goal is to use the mantras found throughout the community, such as be positive, be healthy, be caring, and be kind, as well as the USC Rebel Rights of be respectful, be responsible, and be safe, to guide all decisions and actions. I believe in team collaboration and look forward to working with the community, the administrative team, and the teachers and staff to provide the best education and support for our students and families.

I look forward to meeting you. Please give me a call or stop into my office anytime.

Warmest regards,

Julie Stauber
